ChatGPT and Generative AI - The Complete Guide
This beginner’s guide explains Artificial Intelligence (AI) in 2025 in simple language. Learn what AI is, its history, types (ANI, AGI, ASI), and applications in real life like Alexa, self-driving cars, and healthcare.
Beginner’s Guide to AI in 2025
Have you ever thought about how Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant understands your voice or how Netflix suggests movies?
AI is behind all of this, and in this blog we’ll learn about the basics of AI in simple language.
What is Artificial Intelligence?
Imagine you have a robot and usually this robot can perform whatever we instruct. But using Artificial Intelligence a robot can learn on its own just like we learn from school or by mistakes.
“When we teach machine to learn and think like human known as Artificial Intelligence”
Brief history of AI
In the early 1950s, scientists thought that could a machine think like a human? A scientist named Alan Turing made a “Turing Test”
In the 1960s and 1970s, scientists started making programs to solve simple problems like playing chess.
In the 1980s, scientists built expert systems which give suggestions to the patients about the illness like a personal doctor robot.
In the 2000s, Era changed to Super AI Tools. The Internet came to the world and AI helped in Google Search, Facebook, Siri and Alexa.
Today’s AI (2020s), Now AI is too advanced from Self-driving cars to chatbots to Games all of them are embedded with AI.
Types of Artificial Intelligence
ANI (Narrow AI)
The full form of ANI is Artificial Narrow Intelligence. This AI will do exactly one special job quite well.
Example: Alexa, Siri, or a Calculator. They are smart in one thing but can’t do multiple tasks.
AGI (General AI)
The full form of AGI is Artificial General Intelligence. This AI can learn and think like humans.
Example: A Robot that can study, play football, can do your homework. (We don’t have it yet)
ASI (SuperIntelligence)
The full form of Artificial Superintelligence. This AI is smarter than humans.
Example: A Robot which can solve every problem in the world faster and smarter than a human.
Application of AI
Voice Assistants (Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant)
Self-Driving Cars (Tesla)
Healthcare (Doctors using AI)
Education (Smart Learning Tools)
So AI is not just science fiction, it’s already helping us in our phones, cars, hospitals, and schools every day!
