Course Description
From robotics enthusiasts to future innovators—Class 9 is where students step into the world of advanced technologies!
The Coding, AI and Robotics course is designed for Class 9 learners who are ready to explore robotics, Python programming, AI, and machine learning at a deeper level. This program integrates electronics, mechanics, coding, and intelligent systems, aligned with CBSE and ICSE curricula.
Students will study robotics as complete systems—learning about power, sensors, actuators, communication, and design principles. They’ll also build real-world AI and ML projects like mask detection, body detection, and AI chatbots using PictoBlox AI and Python.
Hands-on projects include building wireless robots, line-following and obstacle-avoiding robots, and the OTTO humanoid robot. Beyond practical skills, learners also gain exposure to the AI Project Cycle—problem scoping, data acquisition, modeling, and evaluation—preparing them to think like young engineers and data scientists.
This course develops logical reasoning, problem-solving, and innovation skills, ensuring learners are future-ready.
What You Will Learn (An Overview)
🔹 Introduction to Robotics – Learn the definition, classification, and applications of robots, including bio-inspired and underwater robots.
🔹 Python Programming – Master Python basics: data types, operators, loops, and conditional statements.
🔹 Robots as Systems – Explore the building blocks of robots: power supply, sensors, actuators, and communication systems.
🔹 Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Study the history, applications, and ethics of AI; perform face and object detection with Python.
🔹 Machine Learning (ML) – Use PictoBlox AI to build projects like a mask detection system and a human body detection system.
🔹 Advanced Robotics Concepts – Learn about types of motion, joints, and links; build projects like the OTTO Robot.
🔹 AI Project Framework – Understand the AI project cycle: problem scoping → data acquisition → modeling → evaluation.
🔹 Major Projects – Build a Wirelessly Controlled Robot, Line Following Robot, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, OTTO Robot, and AI-based Chatbot.
