This course is a comprehensive program designed to advance Class 4 students' understanding of robotics and artificial intelligence. They will learn to build and program with a range of electronic components and microcontrollers to create innovative projects. The curriculum covers both hardware and software, from connecting switches on a breadboard to programming a microcontroller using Pictoblox. Students will also be introduced to actuators, various types of sensors, and the fundamentals of AI and its applications. The course culminates in a final capstone project where they will apply their knowledge to build a smart toll gate opening system.

What Students Will Learn:

  • Breadboards and Electronics: Connect switches and experiment with resistors to control LED brightness on a breadboard.
  • Microcontrollers: Program an Arduino UNO using Pictoblox to create projects like an LED Chaser and an LED Cube.
  • Actuators: Work with servo motors to build a robotic arm and program its movements.
  • Sensors: Understand and use IR sensors for security systems and soil moisture sensors for plant care.
  • Design & 3D Printing: Learn the design thinking process and create 3D models of objects like a room layout, a robot, or the Chandrayan.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Explore the key components of AI and its real-world applications, such as a bot for flower classification.
  • Coding: Get an introduction to coding with Sprite Lab and its important codeblocks.
  • Hands-on Projects: Engage in various STEM activities, including building a pulley system, a buzz wire game, and a rubber band-powered car.
